New Faces at Pennine - 13 November 2006 at 09:40

Pennine Brass would like to welcome four new players to its ranks following the bands recent success at the Pontins Championships. Joining on the Euph and Bari bench are Jerram Stead and Alex Seedhouse. Jerram is a former member of Drighlington band and joins on 2nd Baritone, he also forms a family connection in the band with brother Jolyon playing Solo Euphonium. Alex is a first year student at the RNCM studying under Steven Mead and David Thornton. Alex joins the band on 2nd Euphonium following a successful year at Newstead Welfare band. James Chisholm brings a wealth of experience to the back row cornet bench on the Repiano seat. James joins from BHK Horden band and has previously been a member of Hepworth band. Hannah Ross brings a welcome female touch to the percussion section and has already made a lasting impression with her debut performance on Timpani, when the band performed ‘Blitz’ at the recent Pontins Championships.
